Free and open source software for video recording and live streaming

Xsplit
Software for video recording and live streaming, this one is not free* and not as widely used as OBS
*The free version has limitations and watermarks.

I didn't realize OBS released a stronger version. Does one pay extra?

I'll also mention Restream.IO ...you can stream simultaneously to YouTube, Twitch, and similar services.

It's not an obs product. OBS is open source. Streamlabs have taken the codebase and built stuff on top. As far as I'm aware it's still free.
